Bishop Winston R. Palmer is the Presider and General Overseer of the Bethuel Temple Churches of Christ Apostolic, Inc., appointed and consecrated by the laying on of hands by the Founder, former Presider and General Overseer, the late Apostle William R. Palmer, Jr.; and affirmed during the 2011 International Annual Holy Convocation.

Bishop Palmer has a rich history in the Bethuel Temple Churches of Christ and has come through the ranks, serving faithfully.

Brother Winston (“Fireball”) Palmer was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the Holy Ghost at the age of seven. As a young man, he served under the guidance of his father; singing, teaching, traveling and doing whatever his hands found to do; but God had a greater calling on his life.

Ordained a Deacon in 1987, two years later on Sunday, July 16, 1989, Deacon Palmer preached his trial sermon. Elder Palmer served as Sunday School Superintendant, Brotherhood Choir Director, and Youth President of the local church, as well as the Youth President of the Apostolic Alliance of Churches of Jesus Christ.

Elder Palmer traveled stateside and overseas with his Bishop and gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. Later, Elder Palmer and his family relocated to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to help care for his grandmother-in-law, a particular soul; however, the Lord knew that there were others who needed to hear the true word of God. In the spring of 1996, Bishop William R. Palmer, Jr. came to Harrisburg to dedicate the Bethuel Temple Church of Christ Apostolic, No. 2; the Pastor, Elder Winston R. Palmer.

On June 28, 1986, Brother Winston R. Palmer met and married his true love, Sister Sonya A. Holton and they are the proud parents of eight children and grandparents of one beautiful granddaughter.

On Sunday, July 9, 2007, Bishop Palmer was elevated to Suffragan Bishop of the Bethuel Temple Churches of Christ Apostolic, positioned according to the will of God, to take over the work at the appointed time.

Bishop Palmer glorifies and appreciates God for blessing him to travel with our late Apostle on his last apostolic mission. Bishop Palmer traveled with Apostle Palmer and our Esteemed Mother Lerah Palmer in April 2010 to Ghana, Africa where many souls were baptized and seven churches, under the banner of the United Churches of God, Chairman Pastor Peter Bonney, were added. Bishop Palmer and his brother, Brother Wendel Palmer, Sr., continued the foreign mission in April 2011, when they visited and joined with the United Churches of God in their 2011 Easter Convention.

As a man of God, Bishop Palmer has a God-given vision for the people and constantly teaches the importance of putting God first in everything. God has proven Himself miraculous to Bishop Palmer and Bethuel Temple Church, No. 2. In 2006 they were able to purchase and pay for their church and Bishop Palmer purchased a building in the neighborhood and is currently working to realize the dream of opening a cyber café. He also desires to see God’s people purchase land and design and build their own community of homes. Pastor Palmer believes that the people of God are to have “all things in common.” He believes bringing our resources together will remove the strain and cause the church to become self sufficient as well as self supported.

Bishop Palmer graduated magna cum laude with an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology and summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Organization, both from Kaplan University. He is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Public Administration.

BTC is the church where God dwells; because “God is in her!” We have experienced so many of God’s great benefits. That’s why we can BOLDLY say that the Lord is our HELPER!” font_container=”tag:p|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][bears_button element_id=”1468481467918-0a1f158e-33c2″ template=”eyJ0ZW1wbGF0ZSI6ImJlYXJzX2J1dHRvbi0tY3VzdG9tLnBocCIsImxpbmsiOnsidGV4dCI6IkpvaW4gVXMgTm93ICEiLCJ1cmwiOiIjIn0sImFsaWduIjoibGVmdCIsImxheW91dF9pdGVtIjoiYmFja2dyb3VuZF9jb2xvcl9zaGFkb3dfZWZmZWN0In0=”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1468470465317{margin-top: 90px !important;}”][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
